PIŠKERA BAY – ANCIENT ARCHITECTURAL REMAINS
The remains of retaining walls belonging to an ancient fishpond were discovered at the end of Piškera Bay, near Nečujam on the island of Šolta. The stone embankment has a 3-meter wide opening in its center which would have originally been covered by a barrier, but whose remains have not survived to the present day. The embankment constructed using rough stone blocks closes off the end of the 3-meter deep bay which was used for fish farming.
